Did Obito Kill His Grandma?

Did Obito Kill His Grandma

Well, there has not been any evidence in the storyline of Obito Uchiha killing his grandma in the series. It doesn’t even show us his particular family life or his background in the manga or the anime.

It mainly focuses on how he transformed from being a dedicated Luke Village ninja to one of the major antagonists under the leadership of Madara Uchiha. This also led to the complexity of his relationship with one of his team members, Akakashi Hatagi, who was also one of his best friends.

Obito’s Story in “Naruto”

Masashi Kishimoto, the owner or the creator of Naruto, never gave us the story behind Obito’s family. So, whether Obito really killed his grandma remains a topic for discussion and debate in the Naruto fanbase.

As Obito faced a lot of tragedies, manipulation as well as redemption along his journey in the series, his actions had major impacts, but it does not include his murdering his own grandma.

Clarifying the Misunderstanding

Firstly, we don’t see it in the story of the Death of Obito’s grandmother, which gives a bit of mixed emotions in the community and misinterpretation of the events of the series.

Also, Obito’s character is all about him committing dark deeds and being associated with the series’s main antagonist, who is none other than Madara Uchiha. So, this shows us Obito’s story is about his journey from a villain to a hero. But this doesn’t mean that he would have killed his grandmother.

Obito’s Role and Actions

  • Tragic Background and Turn to Darkness: Orbital experienced a huge loss when he witnessed Itachi killing one of his teammates, whom he solely had an affection for. Therefore, after seeing this loss, he was manipulated by Madara Uchiha, and it led him to go down a very dark path while being under the influence of Madara Uchiha, who was the main antagonist.
  • Major Conflicts and Misdeeds:  After Madara Uchiha manipulated him, he became One of the major warriors in the fourth great ninja war and the attack on the hill village. These battles show us the capabilities of Obito’s drag stick actions affecting many lives, especially during Naruto’s birth. He was also responsible for the nine-tailed beast attack on the village, which also led to the death of Naruto’s parents.

Why the Confusion Exists that Obito Kill His Grandma

Due to Obito’s dark actions and personal tragedies, we may assume that Obito was capable of killing his grandmother because of his dark character and the misdeeds he had already committed due to the personal losses he had encountered.

However, this does not specifically clear out the confusion, as there is no real evidence that shows us that Obitro killed his grandmother.

Cultural and Narrative Aspects

The narration depicts the main themes as Obito being the antagonist, under the influence of the main antagonist, Madara Uchiha.

and his actions leading to a few developments of the storyline because it was very unlikely to see Obito being involved in his family’s murders as the main series did not involve any clue against the antagonist.

Conclusion

The creator of the anime, Kishimoto, didn’t depict the personal life of Obito. Rather than that, he concentrated on Obito’s journey and decisions, where we eventually saw him change from hero to villain and back to hero.

So we did not see much of his personal life, which makes us come to the conclusion that Obito Uchiha did not kill his grandmother, Mizugama, in the series.
